Tooth Decay Starts From The Inside

.

Tooth Decay Affects Your Whole Body

.

Chapter 2 shows WHY tooth decay starts from the inside

.

Most of you probably believe that tooth decay starts on the outside of the tooth – a crack or a cavity in the enamel.  The truth is that poor eating habits, especially the regular consumption of processed foods and sugars of all sorts are more likely to cause tooth decay from the inside, as poor brushing habits are from the outside.

Deteriorating teeth is always a sign of poor body maintenance.

.

.

.

.

On average people brush their teeth twice a day – for 45 seconds on the way to breakfast and for another 45 seconds again before bed.

.

Tooth decay affects your whole body!

.

Ralph Steinmann DDS, founder of Loma Linda Dental School and John Leonora, PhD (endocrine physiology) illustrated that poor quality food plays a significant role in tooth decay.

.

They showed that tooth decay attacks from inside the tooth before you can see any evidence appearing on the outside. Also that the normal flow of fluids from inside to outside is reversed when junk food is eaten.

It’s an extremely significant study but bearing in mind my preference not to harp on too much about the benefits of good nutrition, you´ll find more on this in the Appendixof the book.

.

.

Tooth decay always extends far deeper than x-rays might indicate

.

.

How tooth decay starts

Tooth decay starts with a tiny chalky discolouration.  The most susceptible areas are the surface, the neck of the tooth and areas where the teeth touch each other. The decaying areas soften and turn dark.  Once the enamel has been damaged the much softer dentin is exposed.  From here the process of decay is fast continuing towards the pulp

At this point you probably notice temperatures of the food you eat and drink.  You will know that the pulp has a serious infection and is about to die when you experience a sensitivity to hot.

Go for the real smile

Spiders, they keep appearing all around me, crawling over my book. Their eight legs clattering along. Weaving their intricate webs of lies and deceit and so we weave. We spin those webs, casting out our thoughts and feelings. Catching our prey within it. Like the venus fly trap. We send out our scent into the night. Attracting all the honey and when we do and  we get one that sniffs a bit too close, then bang, we snap shut and we keep a tight hold. No way are we letting go of the prey.

Today from where I sit, I see so much. Just look around, GHD straighteners, push up bras, chicken fillets, make up, nail art, teeth whitened, botox. Look different, look younger, look taller. It´s all just a veneer, to just paste over, an image to just fill in and conform to.

Take a trip to the dentist and what happens?

He takes a look inside and whats in there looks dark, a black hole. A quick poke around, a few smoke and mirrors. Then drill and fill a few bits and pieces. The sticking plaster has been stuck in the whole. We look in the mirror and close our mouths. We smile once more through gritted teeth.

Do we like the reflection that stares back at us?

What is actually in that black hole?

If we were to open our mouths and take a proper look? Would it be good or would there be much darkness, much badness.

And so, just like those creepy crawly spiders, it might make you shudder. It may make you want to run away screaming. It may make you want to shut your mouth and not go back to that dentist because, it may cause pain.

The healings didn’t quite happen with a pill and a drill. But that’s OK, you don’t have to look again if you don’t want to, another dentist will do as you ask and fill a few more gaps and not bother to look at the smile within. Or even better, get some veneers and really cover up the truth.

Darkness is not such a bad thing and badness can always be transformed to good if you so choose and are not afraid to face your fears. It isn’t always the easy option short term, but when the same problem repeats itself, then take a look, face your fears and maybe surprise yourself with where you can shine your light and actually allow yourself to see and marvel at your own true smile.

Who needs a dentist?

Well maybe some do and if  he’s the one for you, then brilliant. That’s something that has to be worth truly smiling about. Just this time, your smile is your own and the one smiling back isn’t saying through false teeth, that’s $100 please maam.

Thank you Helen for sharing your opinion.

This way dentistry becomes far more complex than just the normally perceived routine of drill, fill and bill.

Tooth-Organ-Connection

YOUR TEETH and YOUR BODY are CONNECTED

I found this wonderful piece of art on Dr. Poschneider´s web site.

.
.

One of many  stories from my clinic:

.
For many years a patient had suffered from alternating constipation and diarrhoea together with pains in his stomach and large intestine before becoming a patient at my clinic. The initial x-ray showed a large bone loss on the lower right first molar.
This tooth is linked to the large intestine.
The tooth and the abscess were removed, the bone cleaned and some homeopathic remedies injected into this area.
When he came back for checking the healing process only a few days later, his pain was gone as were his constipation and diarrhoea.

.

This gives you a first impression on how your teeth are connected with the rest of your body.

.

.

.
.
If a tooth develops decay and another doesn´t, this isn´t just a case of poor nutrition and bad bushing. Your teeth reflect your physical as well as your emotional conditions. If you look after your teeth well and yet a tooth starts to decay, there could be an emotional issue needing to be resolved.

Root canal treated teeth for example can create disturbing energetic blocks in the body, leading to the interruption of organ function. If a person has a weak internal organ, a root canal performed on the associated meridian tooth could make it considerably more problematic.

Like muscles and organs, teeth store memories of events from your life and especially from any kind of stress.

Gum Disease is more harmful than Diabetes

.

.

According to new research gum disease carries a higher risk of causing a stroke than diabetes.

People are twice as likely to suffer from a non-fatal stroke as a result of gum disease compared to diabetes.

.

Until recently high blood pressure and diabetes were widely accepted as major risks contributing to non-fatal stroke.

.

.

.

.

The research puts the impact of gum diesease on the same level as high blood pressure as an independent risk factor associated to non-fatal stroke.

MERCURY – AMALGAM

.

.

Dental amalgam filllings are composed of approximately 50% liquid mercury; the remaining powder is made up of mainly silver (~20-35%) and some tin, copper (~10%), and zinc (~2%).

.

If you have mercury fillings, your mouth is a toxic area.

If the health regulations for your mouth were the same health regulations for an office building, no-one would be allowed to enter!

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

It has been known almost since mercury was first used for fillings in the early 1800’s that this substance is harmful to the body.

There is so much evidence now about the hazards of mercury it is unspeakable to any human being with a conscience that mercury remains commonly in use today.

.

.

Did you know that when mercury fillings are removed from your mouth, by law the fillings need to be treated as hazardous waste?

.

70-80 % of mother’s mercury “contamination” from amalgam fillings and vaccinations can be found in newborns.

.

Even the World Health Organization admits:

There is no known safe level with mercury.”

.

Old fillings have been found to contain as little as 10% mercury.  What happened to the rest?

.

Some countries have banned amalgam fillings(Norway, Denmark and Sweden).  Austria, Germany and Japan have introduced restrictions.

Alternatives to mercury fillings are accessible, affordable and applicable

.

Mercury leaches from amalgam fillings and is absorbed into your body either as mercury vapour, as ionic mercury dissolved in saliva and also penetrates directly through the tooth pulp into the bloodstream.

Mercury in the stomach is converted to methylmercury, 100 times more toxic than mercury.

.

Mercury from fillings can be a contributing factor to gum disease, organ damage, candida infection, chromosomal damage, antibiotica resistance, autism, skin problems and many other health challenges.

.

With the release of the book you will get access to a free pdf document providing many more scientifically proven facts about the problems mercury can cause, symptoms of mercury poisoning and how to eliminate mercury from your body.

The Philips Blotting Technique

.

About Dr. Joseph Phillips

Dr. Joseph Phillips was a periodontist (a specialist in gum disease). He also taught that gum disease, subsequent surgery and tooth loss were wholly unnecessary if the mouth was cared for properly.

By the late 1960’s Dr Phillips had developed the unique Blotting Brush and the associated method of cleaning: the Blotting Technique.

.

.

The Blotting Brush

The Blotting Brush is designed with four rows of end-rounded textured bristles that have a capillary action that draws plaque and debris from gingival crevices.

.

.

The Blotting Technique

The Blotting Technique lifts and holds plaque in the brush so that it can be removed.  Whereas brushing moves this plaque around the mouth and under the gums, the Blotting Technique is the only proven dental hygiene method that actually removes it from the mouth.

Its simplicity and inexpensiveness makes it understandable and affordable for everyone.

.

.

This is the key to total oral health for a lifetime.

.

.

Despite all the specialty toothpastes and mouthwashes available today, people still have gum disease, many without ever knowing it.

.

“No surgery has ever cured periodontal disease. Surgery shouldn’t be done until the mouth is healthy; surgery being only a post healing reconstructive procedure.” Dr.  J.E. Phillips

.

.

.

.

.

Using the Blotting Technique you will be able to clean 100% of your mouth – not just the 10% of your mouth taken up by your teeth.  You can even “floss” with this technique.

.

Once you have purchased a Blotting Brush you are the proud owner

of the smallest and most effective health kit in the world.

How You Brush, Floss and Tongue Scrape

.

What Kind of Toothbrush Should You Choose?

If you have healthy teeth and gums, use any toothbrush you are most comfortable with, but make sure it has a small head.  When suffering from any kind of tooth decay or gum disease we highly recommend you use Dr Phillips’ Blotting Brush.  This will help restore your gums back to health.

Electric toothbrushes are efficient and have small heads to get deeper into the crevices between teeth.

.

How to Brush Your Teeth

The primary reason for cleaning your teeth is to remove plaque before it hardens on the enamel surface of your teeth or in between them.  We know from statistics that a mere 2% of people brush their teeth for longer than one minute!  Some families even share their toothbrush!

Most dentist and hygienist recommend the Bass technique as developed by the ‘Father of Dental Hygiene’ Dr Charles C. Bass.

.

Why Floss Your Teeth?

The purpose of flossing is to eliminate bacteria from the spaces between your teeth. You might think that these spaces in between your teeth are fairly tight. Unfortunately they are not at all for the bacteria. Bacteria are happy thriving in these interdental spaces destroying teeth and gums with their acids.

.

We recommend using dental tape instead of dental floss because it is easier to use, cleans the spaces in between your teeth faster due to its bigger surface. Due to its ribbon-like structure it is less likely to cut your gums.

.

Using a Tongue Scraper properly

Tongue cleaning removes millions of bacteria, decaying food debris, fungi, yeast (e.g. Candida), and dead cells.  Studies have shown that in 80-95% of bad breath originates in the mouth, mainly from material at the back of the tongue.

For best results gently scrape the surface of the tongue from the back to the front.  Run the scraper under the tap after every scrape.

.

NEVER EVER SHARE YOUR TOOTHBRUSH

.

.

BAD BREATH (Halitosis)

.

.

Bad breath can undoubtedly lessen your confidence and self-esteem and in more extreme cases, cause depression. It does not need to be from now on if you follow the many recommendations on this site.

First thing to do is having your teeth checked by your dentist for any decay and gum disease. If you wear dentures ore have bridge work done get this checked as well. Also see that your sinuses are clear. If you smoke, well, you know what would be best.

Some illnesses  such as  diabetes or kidney dysfunction as well as being on severe diet can also cause bad breath.

If all the above is ok and Bad Breath still persists then the following tips may help.

1. Rinse your mouth with fresh water after every meal, add a teaspoon of salt and gargle

2.   Start by cutting down or cutting out alcohol, coffee, high-protein foods    and  alcohol-based mouthwashes,

3.   Avoid low carb and high fat diets

4.   Increase healthy raw fruit and vegetables Every morning and afternoon   bite into some hard, crisp fruit and vegetables like apples, cucumber, celery and raw carrot. These will naturally clean your teeth.

5.   Increase intake of Vitamin B (esp. B1 from whole grain cereals, green vegetables, beans and peas, brown rice and berries) as this is essential for digesting food properly

6.   Drink more water, especially if you are on any form of medication.

7.    Clean your tongue from right to the back and use plenty of water to ensure the  mucous and debris is washed away.

8.   Change the environment in your mouth so these anaerobic bacteria will no  longer grow. The best thing you can do to achieve this is to bring high amount of oxygen into the place where the bacteria live.

9.   Use the toothpaste we recommend in Chapter 6  to clean your teeth.

10.  Start implementing the Dr. Phillips Blotting Technique?

.

.

You can also

  • chew fresh parsley;
  • take a teaspoon of whole cloves, a teaspoon of ground cinnamon and two  teaspoons of parsley, add them to a mug of boiling water, let it sit for 15 minutes, then gargle;
  • boil two teaspoons of anise seeds in water for 3 minutes, strain it and drink or swill round your mouth.

ALTERNATIVES TO MERCURY-AMALGAM FILLINGS

.

.

Alternatives to mercury fillings are accessible, affordable and applicable!

.

.

If you want your mercury fillings removed you certainly don´t want another toxic material being put in your teeth instead.

.

There are dental filling materials that have a very small potential of harming your health.

.

Composites also called “white fillings” are such an alternative. Especially if they are free of Bisphenol A, a softener that has been found to cause adverse health reactions such as allergies, breast cancer, obesity and early onset of puberty.

.

In October 2010 Canada has declared Bisphenol A a toxic chemical!

.

For bigger restorations Polyceramic / Fibrecor is a good choice as it combines excellent aesthetics with optimal biocompatibility.

.

.

I recommend metal-free options in all forms of restorations

.

.

To quote Vera Stejskal, developer of the MELISA-Test: “Only robots should have metal spare parts”

ROOT CANAL TREATMENT

.

.

.

What is the common therapy for a dead or gangrenous finger or toe?

.

It would be removed. No question asked.

No one would start fiddling around with the nerves, veins or arteries inside.  A surgeon would just cut it off.

.

Hopefully patient and health professionals involved will afterwards address the underlying cause,s.

.

.

Why root canal treatments are performed

.

If the nerve in your tooth is infected, a root canal treatment is often recommended.  This is a non-surgical dental procedure to save extracting the tooth. The treatment consists of removing the infected pulp, cleaning the root channel and sealing it. The treatment is not considered painful but can sometimes be.

.

Although Root Canal treatments are very popular in dentistry, the more you will learn about them, the more you realise that they are often no more than a quick fix approach. The end result could well be worse than the original problem.

.

A Clinic in Switzerland recently found that of the last 150 breast cancer patients treated in this clinic 147 of them (98%) had one or more root canal treated teeth on the same meridian as the original breast cancer tumour.

WHAT TO DO?

One could say there is no perfect solution in regards of root canal treatments  because either you loose a tooth or you may threaten your health. Hence it is down to the individual situation – What medical problems do you suffer from – how old are you – what kind of technique is the dentist able to use, and so forth.

.

Get all the information you can get whether from your dentist, internet or second opinion . You really need to understand what a root canal treatment is and all the consequences of having a root canal treatment done or the tooth extracted!
